Training Group
At Dublin Run Academy, we want to create a training enviornment that can cater for all abilities. To do this, we have developed three pathways with different pathways to match your training goals. You can choose to stay in one group or progress through the ranks
Base Pathway
✓ Requirement: Run for 30mins continously
✓ Ideal follow on from beginner course
✓ Focus on fitness and fun runs
✓ Gradually increase run length
✓ Slowly introduce athletes to intenstiy
Build Pathway
✓ Requirement: Run for 60mins continously
✓ Suitable follow on from Base Pathway
✓ Focus on aerobic capacity and speed
✓ Gradual introduction to interval training
✓ Sessions adjusted to athletes ability
Perform Pathway
✓ Requirement: Interval training experience
✓ Suitable follow on from Build Pathway
✓ Focus on preparing athletes for races
✓ Flexibility to run 4-6 days per week
✓ Option for 2 interval sessions per week
